Housing
On-campus housing
Some study plans require students to live on campus; others offer the option of off-campus housing.
You are required to live on campus for the length of your INTO Mason program if you are enrolled in:
- Academic English + International Year One Program
- International Year One
- Undergraduate Transfer Program
Undergraduate students are typically placed in the Angel Cabrera Global Center.
You have the option of living on or off campus if you are enrolled in:
- Academic English only
- Graduate Pathway Program
If you would like to live on campus, you can apply to live in the Angel Cabrera Global Center. We recommend applying early, as spaces fill up quickly.
Off-campus housing
However, exemptions to this housing requirement may be granted in special circumstances. You need to submit this Housing Exemption Request to intoexp@gmu.edu for approval.
The INTO Mason Off-Campus Housing Guide (PDF) is a great resource to search for an apartment or house in the local area. Mason's Off-Campus Student Services provides off-campus students with resources they need to be academically and socially engaged with University Life and assist in the transition to off-campus life. You can find listings for Off-Campus Housing that are approved by GMU on the Off-Campus Housing website.
There is no on-campus housing at Mason Square (Arlington campus). Check the Off-Campus Housing Guide for assistance or contact our team.
Dining
INTO Mason students living on campus are automatically enrolled in the Independence Ultimate Dining Plan, which allows them to enter any dining hall on campus as many times per day as they want. Dining options include vegan, halal, and gluten-free options.
Students get unlimited dining access to the two on-campus dining halls during normal hours of operation:
There are also several fast/casual restaurants on campus. Check out Mason's dining options.
