Cathy Ross is an Academic English instructor at INTO Mason. She started working at George Mason University in 2013 as an English tutor for graduate students and in January of 2015 moved to INTO Mason to teach an AE class; she has been teaching AE classes for the past six years.
Ross has taught various levels from Foundations to Core 5 but her specialty is in the lower levels. She often uses props and games to introduce and demonstrate grammar and vocabulary. Cathy likes to see her students engaged and interacting with each other as much as possible.
Cathy holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Harvard University where she majored in Slavic Linguistics. She has been to the Soviet Union/Russia several times and has taught Russian at universities and privately. Her hobbies include reading and memorizing Bible passages in Russian, baking and running.
