Darshana Rogers has worked with INTO Mason as the Enrollment Manager since 2015. In this crucial role, she oversees the application, evaluation, and immigration processes for international students applying to INTO Mason. She is also responsible for the data quality of student records and manages a team of both INTO Mason and George Mason University employees.
As an INYO 100 and 101 instructor, Darshana gets to interact closely with students in the classroom and contribute to their educational journey not only before, but after, they arrive.
A California native, Darshana earned her BA in English from San Diego State University before relocating to the East Coast to earn a MA in English from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Before joining the INTO Mason team, she worked as a grant writer for a non-profit focused on college prep services for underserved communities, worked in a couple of university libraries, and worked in different areas of university enrollment for several years.
Darshana's favorite part of her role as Enrollment Manager is the chance to work with students from all around the world and strives to ensure a pleasant experience from the very first interaction they have with INTO Mason. Also, the changing nature of international enrollment means there are always new challenges and opportunities to remain engaged with her work.
Outside of work, she develops the passion for travel she has had since studying abroad twice as an undergraduate student by regularly taking trips across the country and around the world. Darshana enjoys spending time in nature, has a strong passion for reading, and exploring the benefits of higher education.
